Sometimes I fall off the face of the planet.
This blog is primarily meant to give me (and maybe others?) the feel-goods. I like to give pause and notice strange sights, small details, and pretty things. I’ve decided that I don’t necessarily want to be tied down to three predetermined posts a week. While I enjoy all the content I’ve been creating, I think I’d like to try something simpler. Previously when I blogged, I often posted all photos. I think I’d like to go back to that – at least for now. It’s likely (but not guaranteed) that I’ll begin posting more frequently. I’ll include snapshots of my life – little things that make me feel inspired or cozy or just generally happy.
Here’s what I’ve been up to lately:
Title taken from here:
I heard Dexy’s Midnight Runners on the radio yesterday and decided to trash the playlist I had originally comprised for today. Why? Because I neeeeeeded to make a playlist full of my favorite 80s dance jams. “Come on Eileen” always makes me hungry for more 80s music. Plus, the city I hail from has a kick-ass 80s night every Friday and I’m homesick for it.
I’m going to try listening to this in my headphones at work today, but chances are my killer dance moves will freak out my coworkers. (This is how I feel about that.)
Happy weekend, y’all.
Good ol’ Punxsutawney Phil really failed me. Six more long weeks of winter. I know that I was wishfully posting about spring dresses just a couple of weeks ago, but it looks like it will be a long time before I wear anything less than three layers. Around a foot of snow was dumped on my tiny town today, so in the spirit of a winter that refuses to die, I give you my favorite snow day essentials:
1) L.L. Bean Boots. Two words: lifetime guarantee.
2) Wool socks. To be worn with aforementioned Bean Boots.
3) Cozy sweater. The bigger the better.
4) Snow suit. For outdoor romps.
5) Flask. Also for outdoor romps.
There are, of course, other important snow day essentials for time spent indoors. For me, those are baked goods and Netflix, so today I concocted a batch of brownies and watched multiple episodes of Breaking Bad. Hey, not every day can be super productive, right?
